An inaugural five-kilometer "West County Walk," with proceeds benefiting the St. Louis affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, will take place June 13.

The event, though it will benefit the local Komen affiliate, is not part of the Susan G. Komen Race for the cure, which will be held the same day in downtown St. Louis.
